For our first month in the Code Garden, Renee will be playing with Python basics. She'll talk you through everything you need to know to get started on your Python journey!
In Week 1 she'll be working with variables, strings and integers.
In week 2 she'll play making decisions in Python using if statements.
In week 3 she'll take on looping, and show you how to make your code repeat itself to get more done!
In this episode we'll cover how to make decisions (branching) in Python using if statements. We'll take a look at how you can use conditions in your programs to generate different outcomes based on what data the users enters.

A self-proclaimed ""Jane of all trades"", Renee has worked in sectors across tech, outreach, and education. She's worked in ML and web development in the past, dabbles in embedded tech, and is always keen to learn more!
Renee is a passionate women in tech advocate, spending her spare time leading the Girls' Programming Network to support women and girls in tech. She also runs her own business, ConnectEd Code, working to bring exciting coding opportunities to kids and teachers. Beside teaching and tech she loves swing dancing, cats, and having a ridiculous number of plants.
