The Art of LiveOps Episode 2

Welcome to episode 2 of The Art of LiveOps! In each bi-weekly episode, we will be interviewing game creators working at the cutting edge of LiveOps to share valuable lessons, perspectives, and yes, disaster stories of LiveOps gone wrong.

We’ve created this podcast because we believe effective LiveOps is critical to the success of modern games, but there’s simply too little knowledge and information out there about how to do it right. We all know we should be engaging our players on a continual basis, to better grow our game communities, but what is the best way? What techniques work and don’t work? What changes do you need to make to culture and process? Where should you start?

In our second episode, we talk with Mike Pagano, an early pioneer in the LiveOps mobile space. He will share some lessons about LiveOps, talk about how LiveOps differs around the world, and finally will talk about his new studio and some of the projects he is working on.

Then stay tuned for the rest of Season 1! Each episode will feature rich stories, helpful tips, train-wreck stories, and even some philosophical musing on the future of games. Other guests will include folks who work at Zynga, IO interactive, Spryfox, Kongregate, Sparkypants, and many more.
