Xbox and Gyeonggi Partner to Host Game Dev Camp in Korea
Today, in partnership with Gyeonggi Content Agency, we announced Xbox Game Studios Game Camp Korea, hosted in Pangyo Gyeonggi Global Game Center. Game Camp Korea is the second Game Camp hosted by Xbox Game Studios following last year's successful and inaugural Game Development Camp in New Orleans.
Based on the belief that "extraordinary talent exists everywhere," Xbox Game Studios Game Camp aims to educate, inspire, and empower aspiring and existing game developers in Korea. The eight-week Game Camp Korea curriculum will select 50 participants (campers) to learn more about game development and game marketing by domestic and international experts who work in the industry. The campers will be able to communicate online for further questions after lectures.
Game Camp Korea will host lectures once a week from October 19 to December 8. Due to social distancing guidelines, most of the curriculum will be streamed online and campers may choose to attend virtually or in-person at Pangyo Gyeonggi Global Game Center.
Aspiring game creators in Korea over the age of 18 and can enroll until September 30. For more information and to enroll in Xbox Game Studios Game Camp Korea, go here.
