Create mobileAppCategory

Important: APIs under the /beta version in Microsoft Graph are in preview and are subject to change. Use of these APIs in production applications is not supported.

Note: Using the Microsoft Graph APIs to configure Intune controls and policies still requires that the Intune service is correctly licensed by the customer.

Create a new mobileAppCategory by posting to the mobileAppCategories collection.

Prerequisites

One of the following scopes is required to execute this API:

DeviceManagementApps.ReadWrite.All

POST /deviceAppManagement/mobileApps/{mobileAppId}/categories/

Request body

In the request body, supply a JSON representation of a mobileAppCategory object. The following table shows the properties that are required when you create a mobileAppCategory.

Property Type Description
id String The key of the entity.
displayName String The name of the app category.
lastModifiedDateTime DateTimeOffset The date and time the mobileAppCategory was last modified.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 201 Created response code and a mobileAppCategory object in the response body.
