Update mobileAppCategory

Note: Using the Microsoft Graph APIs to configure Intune controls and policies still requires that the Intune service is correctly licensed by the customer.

Update the properties of a mobileAppCategory object.


One of the following scopes is required to execute this API:

PATCH /deviceAppManagement/mobileApps/{mobileAppId}/categories/{mobileAppCategoryId}

Request body

In the request body, supply a JSON representation of a mobileAppCategory object. The following table shows the properties that are required when you create a mobileAppCategory.

Property Type Description
id String The key of the entity.
displayName String The name of the app category.
lastModifiedDateTime DateTimeOffset The date and time the mobileAppCategory was last modified.


If successful, this method returns a 200 OK response code and an updated mobileAppCategory object in the response body.
