New Microsoft 365 Patterns and Practices (PnP) team model with new community leads

We are happy to announce that the Microsoft 365 Patterns and Practices (previously known also as Office 365 Dev PnP and SharePoint PnP) initiative is growing and scaling to an even larger team of people who are coordinating the open-source and community activities in multiple different areas.

PnP journey started back in 2014 by introducing Office 365 Dev Patterns and Practices initiative and has grew to a community engagement model which has even been awarded as the “reference model on engaging with the community” internally in Microsoft.

PnP team is the group of MVPs who are coordinating the different open-source activities across GitHub and other social media channels. This team consist of Microsoft employees and community members (MVPs) focused on helping the community the best use of Microsoft products, like Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint or API layer like Microsoft Graph.

Starting from today, we are introducing significantly larger Microsoft 365 PnP team as follows:

We will be revisiting the PnP team members during the year based on rules and process defined in now introduced Microsoft 365 PnP Manifesto, which explains the model and introduces the pattern on how the team works and how people are selected to the team.

PnP team coordinates among other things, following initiatives:

There are also numerous exciting new projects under development which will be released as open-source solutions soon addressing Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Graph and SharePoint areas.

We want to thank also the countless of other community members who have been involved on this journey for past years. We still consider this as just a start and are looking your feedback and input to further improve the processes and model we use.
