New Microsoft Edge features

  • Microsoft Edge now includes a setting to clear browsing data whenever you close the browser
  • Settings -> Download Settings now includes an option to show a prompt when you start a download, allowing you to choose where to save the file.
  • Right clicking on the favorites bar now presents options see icons only, rename items, or create new folders

  • Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 Mobile now includes a button to create an InPrivate tab from the Tab Center

  • Word Flow now works in the address bar in Microsoft Edge
  • Fixed an issue where shape writing would ignore every second word when typing into text boxes in Microsoft Edge and some apps

New web platform features

  • This release contains initial plumbing for Web Notifications support (not yet functional)

Known issues in build

  • This release contains initial prototyping for interoperability with some WebRTC scenarios, including a ‘WebRTC 1.0’ flag. This setting is not currently functional and will be removed in a future release.
