Repro Steps:

Here is a simple fiddle. http://jsfiddle.net/thorst/6Lqbt/

Have 2 monitors. make them different resolutions. create a fiddle or webpage with just the following javascript "alert(screen.width + " x " + screen.height);". Then try in chrome, firefox, and ie.

Expected Results:

Display the resolution of the monitor the browser is on. Chrome and Firefox do this.

If the browser window spans multiple monitors, they detect which monitor has the largest percentage of the browser being displayed. Then display the resolution of that monitor.
