Steps to reproduce

From some time, I have spotted, that when I use IE 10 browser in SharePoint 2010, some functionality is missing.
Editing “Links” web part, when I add new link, buttons “OK” and “Cancel” do not appear. (picture 1) To make it happen I need to change the browser mode into IE9. This workaround works. But as we have a lot of contributors, we are looking for a server solution rather than computer solution.
Additional issue might be related with this one. When I want to grant some permissions for the users, I got a problem with the interface where all types of permissions are not on line (they are rolled over). (picture2)

  • Another thing is that I can’t create a new site, cause I got: ‘an unhandled exception occurred in the silverlight application sharepoint 2010’ Of course I did a research with this issue and I have tested already ‘Web Page Security Validation’ and this didn’t brought anything new.

Temporary solution I found is to click F12 on the keyboard and change the browser mode from IE10 into IE9.
