    •  Thanks for filing this bug! It looks like you were testing this behavior on an Anniversary Update build. We tested this today on the latest Windows Insider Preview Fast Ring build and saw that this was (mostly) working. There are, however, some bugs/caveats to be aware of:

      Currently, if msSaveBlob/msSaveOrOpenBlob is called with a filename that has a file extension that is recognized by the system (i.e. one that has a default application associated with it), it will fail silently. If the file extension is not recognized by the system, then you will be prompted with the “Save/Save As” download bar as expected. We are tracking this issue with the following bug, so please check there for updates: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/10027875
