  • Clear your cache.
    Open edge browser.
With in the first 5 seconds of loading the browser, type www.microsoft.com and hit ENTER.
    It will over write it.

  • Thank you for the update. I am having difficulties reproducing this issue. Edge successfully navigates to the page that addressed in the search box. Please see the attachment(GIF).  Could you please tell us what do you mean by “overwriting” data and could you please test this with InPrivate Windows mode and any other Windows 10 environment, see if you can still repro the issue.

    Best regards,
    The MS Edge Team

  • I have added a screen video capture (2016-12-29 at 09-57-56.mp4)

  • I see it is clearly repro on your end. To investigate this issue further could you please verify one last time if you can also see this issue on other PCs. I would like to eliminate the environment factor just in case if this is caused by missing or corrupt system files or any other third party application that may interfere.

    All the best,
    The MS Edge Team

  • I am unable to test it on other PCs; the difference between this PC and yours would likely be the speed of the internet connection (this is ADSL1 in a rural location). Yours most likely would be faster broadband, so that Edge browser is able to load those modules quicker than you are able to reproduce it.

  • Thank you for the update. It appears to be this is a duplicate of an internal bug which is not publicly available. We would like to inform you that, we are currently investigating this issue further.

  • So why has it been marked "External"?
