  • Thank you for your feedback. Please check your Webdriver version and make sure it is compatible with your OS version.

OS version : Click start menu, type winver.exe
WebDriver version : Right click, properties, details

After you detect your versions, please visit the following link to download compatible WebDriver version.

  • I checked the Version of the Windows OS is 15086.679 whereas i was using MicrosoftWebDriver.msi to install the Microsot WebDriver which i downloaded from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/webdriver/Release 10586

The Microsoft Edge is the borwser with version 25.10586.672.0

Do you think that Web driver for Microsoft Edge is incorrect?

Alsot can you guide me to use with version of Microsoft edge to be used for above mentioned configuration

  • The Error states the Version of browser is not supported, does it mean the version of the Microsoft Edge Browser is not supported??

  • First of all I would like to inform you that your OS is outdated and you are missing latest updates. Current public stable version is 14393.576. The most efficient way to run your WebDriver please update  your OS and consider downloading the same WebDriver version as your OS version. You will see on our https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/webdriver/ page multiple versions of Webdriver for public stable, for insiders and for old version of MS Edge in this case version 10586.

    Best regards,

  • Hey there,

I just tested this on a Fall Update VM (Enterprise, en-US, x64, 10586.686) and couldn’t reproduce the issue. We’ll need more information to move forward with this bug. What SKU of Windows 10 are you running (Home, Pro, Education, Enterprise)? Also are you using a normal user account or the built-in administrator account? Edge won’t run using the built-in administrator account. Please reactivate this issue if you continue to hit it or have more information so we can try to reduce it further.

    Thanks,
    Clay
