Steps to reproduce

Edge frequently freezes. Earlier today it would not respond at all. I couldn’t open new tabs, I couldn’t close already open tabs, I couldn’t go to a new site, I couldn’t close the software. The only thing I could get it to do is minimize and maximize the window. I had to End it using Task Manager and then reopen.
This happens frequently.

How to reproduce it? It happens all the time to me. Sometimes I’ve gone off and worked on other software. Sometimes I never leave Edge and it stops responding.

    • This has been happening to me as well for the last two weeks. It seems to happen after my Surface Pro hibernates or is closed. When I open it back up, the tabs are there but all are non-responsive. I can only close via Task Manager, but then I’m not able to re-open a new working Edge session. If I try it just hangs up with a blank white tab, it won’t open the site I select. The only solution I have found is to restart my computer, then Edge will open and function again. Edge has also gotten very slow to open sites in the same time period where this freezing issue has been happening.

    • When a company produces a product just for the sake of money that product erodes as its creator / manufacturer gets richer. Days that Microsoft products were reliable are past, now everything they send to the market has just a beautiful wrapping paper.
