Steps to reproduce

Pre-Requisites : Testing is done with CVOFF settings for MS Edge and Classic_IE_NonEdge .

Repro Steps:

  1. Navigate to URL: https://www.cheryls.com/miss-grace-confetti-birthday-cake-with-gift-tin–cco-vdy16-156741?categoryId=400120065
  2. Observed that Audio player is not rendering

Actual:

Audio player is not rendering 

Expected Result:

Audio player should render

    • The page misidentifies Edge as IE and substitutes an object element for the normal audio element.  Both Edge and Chrome get the object tag version w/ Edge UA string.  Both fail to render the object tag version, but Edge gives a reason:
      “This content can’t be shown in a frame.  There is supposed to be some content here, but the publisher doesn’t allow it to be displayed in a frame. This is to help protect the security of any information you might enter into this site.”  The reason the object tag doesn’t work is because, like Chrome, Edge replaces it with an iframe, but in this case, the src url is restricted to same origin. 

       

      Recommend to Cheryls.com that Edge is properly recognized and the audio player should render properly if Edge gets the same contents as Chrome.
