Steps to reproduce

Hello, I have had this persisting problem for several months now. The issue is that I use a website called Blackboard for my university classes, and whenever I go to attach an assignment that is due to a submission link, my file does not attach. It will open the File Explorer and allow me to select the document, but then the file never attaches and my only solution is to open up Chrome and use their platform to attach documents and submit them. The issue is not just with the Blackboard site, anytime I attempt to attach something using Edge, the file never attaches.

    • Thank you for reporting this issue to us. Would you be able to provide me with the login credentials to the Blackboard site? I am able to attach files as one might expect using Edge on email providers, such as gmail without any issues.

      We are able to attach a small test image (1k) in the My Files section using Edge 14393. We did not find a due assignment with a submission link, so please provide us with some steps to repro the problem safely.

    • Hi, this isn’t an issue specific to this website, I was merely using that as an example. this is an issue I have with any website on edge. I have reset my computer already, and yet it still persists.

      Are you able to attach a file in the My Files section in the university website? If yes, please provide us a different example website and repro steps to confirm this problem.

      You may want to check for Windows updates. Also, you can try disabling Windows SmartScreen to see if that helps. We look forward to helping you find the solution, so please keep us updated with your results.
