Repro Steps:

  1. Follow the instructions at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa752046%28v=vs.85%29.aspx to create an application hosting the WebBrowser ActiveX control.
  2. In the OnInitDialog() function, insert the following line of code:
    m_browser.Navigate(_T(“http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjA1MDk1ODgw.html”), NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL);
  3. Build project.
  4. Start debugging.
  5. Wait until the page is loaded. Close the application window.
  6. It works fine on Windows 7, while crashes on Windows 8.1.

I’ve created the project on GitHub that you can clone and build: https://github.com/patwonder/IEShellNative
