Repro Steps:

I will attempt to attach a demo file, but if that fails I have listed the steps below.

  1. Create a simple HTML form with a SELECT field that has a couple of options
  2. Add an OnChange event to the SELECT that calls a Javascript function that sets a message variable and then alerts the message
  3. Add an OnClick event to a INPUT button that calls the same Javascript function
  4. Open the page in your browser (IE 11)
  5. Press F12 to open the Dev Tools
  6. Set your breakpoint to the first line of code in the Javascript function
  7. Click the button and notice you can step through the Javascript code
  8. Now, try to step through the code by changing the SELECT value.

Doing step # 8 will immediately lock up the Dev Tools/browser on every IE 11 machine I have, but not IE 9 or 10 or other browsers.

Expected Results:

I should be able to step through the Javascript code, but can’t.

Actual Results:
