Steps to reproduce
HTML5 includes the
<bdi> element which allows bidirectional isolation of text. This is supported in all major browsers except for Edge & IE. The standard also states that any element with a
dir attribute will be bidirectional-isolated.

Can we please make some progress on directional isolation? It’s pretty basic stuff for bidi, and really a big issue for those who use RTL scripts that it still doesn’t work on Edge. (For examples of the problems caused, see https://www.w3.org/International/articles/strings-and-bidi/).
