Steps to reproduce

Run the following script and pin the page to Start, nothing happens:

document.addEventListener('mssitepinned', function ()
{
    window.setTimeout(function ()
    {
        alert('Site was pinned.');
    }, 5000);
}, false);

A dialog is expected to show up in Edge after 5 seconds from pinning the page, as it was in Internet Explorer 11 (mobile or modern version).

See this blog entry for details (“Reproduction 2”): Microsoft Edge Live Tile APIs are more than broken.

The entry has been updated on 7 April, 2017 9:56AM (CEDT).

      Thank you for providing this information about the issue. The mssitepinned event method is currently supported in IE11 and will be supported in a future update of Edge.

    • Hi James,

      Is there any timetable for that come-back?
