Textarea with whitespace:pre should not wrap lines

Steps to reproduce

In 101096 the support for white-space: pre was added to textareas, but for some reason it wasn’t done properly and textarea can still wrap but don’t display scrollbars anymore like nowrap.

They should just behave exactly as nowrap does, there is no difference between these two modes for a textbox (pre and nowrap only differ in how they collapse whitespace, but whitespace should probably never collapse in textarea anyway).

    • The next version of Edge will include a new text engine that doesn’t have this problem.

    • You can work around this issue by adding the following attribute wrap="off" to your textarea. This isn’t technically a supported as a property, but it does seem to be the only way fix both current versions of Edge and IE11.
