Steps to reproduce

Your browser, the oldest and most long lasting, is the only one that cannot immediately recognize if a website is http or https. Instead, if you type (for example) http://www.alaskaair.com, it will come back that it cannot find the website. Chrome, Firefox, even Safari are smart enough to find the website properly, but Internet Explorer and Edge fail that task.

    • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. We are unable to reproduce a unique problem and find your sample exhibits the same behavior in other browsers. Once you visit the correct address using https in any browser, it will remember that address and automatically correct the next time you use http. Currently, we do not plan to release a fix for this behavior, but we welcome any further feedback you have for the Edge browser.

      Best Wishes,
      The MS Edge Team
