  • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. After thorough testing, we are unable to reproduce this problem in Edge. Please update this case when you can provide more details, such as screenshots and run dxdiag (Windows key + r and type dxdiag, enter, then click Save all Information) and attach the txt file.

    Changed Status to “Not reproducible”

  • Precisely the same issue here. In addition trigger mentioned by Wesley, I have also observed that pausing a video for an extended period of time and then attempting to resume play also causes this error to occur. I would attach a DxDiag .txt file, but I do not see any facility to do so.

  • Changed Status from “Not reproducible”

  • The problem persists even after the latest updates and fixes released for Microsoft Edge.

  • I’ve attached a DxDiag file from my device.

  • I attached the Fiddler trace resulting from the repro of the steps (from the moment I start the video player to the moment it crashes and displays the error message).

  • Curiously the problem is no longer happening to me, playing videos on Netflix now works normally on Microsoft Edge. The problem disappeared in version 40.15063.0.0 of Microsoft Edge (even though I’m not sure if the resolution of the problem in my case is directly related to this update).

  • For those of you still experiencing video playback issues on Microsoft Edge, I recommend that you install update KB4032188 for the latest fixes.
