Steps to reproduce

I have a problem, with Edge missing in start menu, tried searching for it in start menu not found, the only way to open Edge is by right clicking a html file click open with Edge, but if i then pin it to start menu or taskbar it refuse to open when clicked.
And it does not display in the taskbar when running, i had to open Task manager right click Edge open location, and then i tried to pin the program but clicking the pinned item does nothing refuse to open.
I am having a hard time understanding why we have so many problems with different software from MS, i mean you broke your own sql server you now have broken Edge, you messed up my Documents by dumping my text files in the root of Documents folder, my HP Photosmart software was removed and this is just what i have found until now.
Imagine any Car company released a new model even though it had no break disc’s and the Car company knew it, releasing a statement that they will fix that later.
Thank you

    • Hi Kim,

Sorry to hear about these issues.  Can you give me a little more background?  Did you recently update?  The problems you are experiencing are quite unique.  Any other recent changes e.g. registry edits?
You might want to rollback to a known working restore point.

Can you tell me what version of Windows 10 you are using?  Win Key + r, type “winver” and hit enter.

    • Just checking in to see if you are still having the same Edge issues, i.e. start menu and short-cut not working.  I definitely understand the frustration.  I do not like losing features, etc., however, the Edge issues you are having are not common.  This is the first report that I am aware for this issue.  I am wondering about the OS installation and if any manual registry entries have been modified.  I am guessing this is not from a clean install of Windows 10?

      Let me know,

      Steve
