Steps to reproduce

When you start to write to address bar and then you switch to some other tab and go back to write it to the end, written text is removed with page url. I would expect that the text is still there

    Additionally a problem that is related is when you open a new tab, the address of the old tab is still there and when you immediately start typing it happens that it messes up the new address. Sometimes it either skips the first character when typing an address (see attached gif) or the cursor moves after a few characters back to the beginning (e.g. I want to enter "facebook", but it results in “ebookfac” - I couldn’t capture this behavior though)
