Steps to reproduce

The input box with autofocus is not focused correctly when the extension popup is displayed.
The cursor is blinking inside the input but when typing on keyboard nothing happens.
User has to click inside the input or press tab and then shift+tab, then it’s possible to type in the value.

Testing popup html:

<html>
    <body>
        <input type="text" placeholder="type in value" autofocus="autofocus"/>
    </body>
</html>

  • Popover doesn’t receive events until user clicks on it. Functionality worked on build 14.14393 and it doesn’t work on stable build 15.15063 and on preview 16.16257 checked on WMs from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/
    Please check attached demo. On Edge 16 I can type some text only after explicit click in input. Same issue appears if you attach listener to document - it will not receive key events.
