doesnt work in Edge if logged into Best Buy account

Steps to reproduce

Log into Add item to cart. Go into cart and try to make a change (quantity, shipping, etc). Page will get a spinning circle that never goes away. Refreshing page eliminates any changes attempted. To fix: clear all cookies and history. But as soon as you log into the account again, spinning circle.

Please ensure all plugins are disabled and then try the repro again. If it still has the problem, please run dxdiag (Windows key + r and type dxdiag, enter, then click Save all Information) and attach the txt file.

    • Are you logging into a Best Buy account before attempting to reproduce the error? The only extensions I have are Microsoft Rewards and Office Online. The hardware is a Surface Pro 3. So this should be easy to replicate.

      Thank you for the quick update. It made no difference whether we were logged in or not. We did not even need to login to see the error; it happened to us once in all our testing that we could not remove an item from the cart and faced the spinning circle. Refreshing the page allowed us to try again, and it worked fine on the subsequent attempts. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to consistently repro the problem.

      You may want to try clearing your Edge cache and perhaps even flush local DNS and try again.

    • So you’re saying you did replicate the issue but can’t fix it. I can replicate it EVERY TIME I go to the site. It doesn’t matter if I clear everything (every checkbox is clicked), disable plugins, etc. Every time I try to make a purchase using Edge on desktop PC or mobile (Lumia 950) I get the spinning circle.

      It’s an Edge problem as it doesn’t happen on any other browser (Chrome and Firefox PC and mobile on Android have no problems).

      But if you can’t fix it then I guess I won’t rely on Edge for anything important.

      We cannot replicate the problem. We require a situation which we can consistently recreate before we can say that we have replicated the problem.

      Since it is consistent on your machine, we will need to find the problem unique to your setup. Please perform a fiddler trace while repeating the repro steps and attach the resulting SAZ file so we may investigate further.

    • I’m not sure why you’re not able to reproduce it. I can make it happen every time with a Surface Pro 3 and Lumia 950. Both are closed systems so configuration shouldn’t be a factor. I can make it occur with WiFi, Ethernet, LTE (data) so connectivity type shouldn’t be a factor. And I can do this at home and away, so networks shouldn’t be a factor.

      I cannot reproduce this on newer builds. Feel free to comment back if you’re still experiencing this on later builds.

    • I left the Insider Program because this issue (and some others), so I don’t know if it got fixed in newer builds.
