Steps to reproduce

When trying to start Edge with Webdriver on Build 16188 (Current Fast Insider Build), using the driver currently available for “insider builds” (10.0.16176.1000), the browser does not start but throws an exception (Using Java Selenium 3.3.1). When will a matching MicrosoftWebDriver.exe be published?

Exception details:

    • Hi Pascal,

Thank you for asking about this.  I contacted the manager responsible for the Microsoft WebDriver, and the binary was updated this morning.  There might also be some additional details added to the web page to make the version support clearer.

Also, is there a reason you are using Selenium 3.3.1?  Version 3.4.0 is available.

Hope this helps and thanks again,

      The MS Edge Team

    • Hi Seven,

thanks for your quick response. Working fine now :)

Unfortunately, Selenium 3.4.0 has a Bug with Firefox 53 (setWindowPos not working), and the fix is not yet released… And if you’re testing cross browser, you have to find a minimal working subset.

      Best regards,
