Browser window loses focus after onfocusout or onblur alert in IE11 Windows 10.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create input with alert on “onfocusout” or “onblur” event (see HTML example attached)
  2. Set focus to input then click elsewhere.
  3. Window loses focus and is overflown by another desktop app.
    Alert also hides after repeating event (see attached video).

Issue became more critical when this input is created on child windows.

To describe the situation better:

Say, there is a parent window with child windows. On the child window there is such input with “onfocusout” or “onblur” event. Click this input and click anywhere else after. Result: child window (and all it’s child windows too) is hiding behind the parent (Sometimes along with parent window).

This bug isn’t reproduced on Windows7 (regardless of IE version), but on Windows10 only (both on IE 10 and IE 11)

    Please test this behavior in our latest creator’s update Edge 15063 or the insider build Edge 16199. If this IE problem is blocking enterprise deployment, please follow the CSS escalation process to engage MS support (GES, General Escalation Service) and file a servicing request.
