Steps to reproduce

While developing a website using WebRTC I found that Microsoft Edge specifically (tested the same code on Firefox) is unable to change the source camera. An example of this can be found on the following WebRTC sample page for a library called Instascan. https://schmich.github.io/instascan/ When I select different cameras, the video stream updates, but does not change. I am on a ThinkPad X1 Tablet.

To help us in the investigation, could you verify with the following test page whether you can switch cameras on your laptop?

Thanks, Shijun for the MS Edge team

    • Sorry for the late reply, but yes that test page does work. However it is not using the same API as I mentioned previously.

    • Nevermind, I realize now that WebRTC and the media stream API are the same
