Steps to reproduce

Open a window and a new tab to trigger the “Where to next?” page.

Start typing your query such as: EdgeBug Focus

Then press CTRL+Tab to switch to the next tab, and CTRL+Shift+Tab to get back… The focus is still correct, right where you left it.

BUT, if you Alt+Tab to another window, and then come back, Edge has unhelpfully selected all of the content of the address bar. Most unhelpfully, if anyone is using any sort of clipboard history tool, and wanted to grab some string out of clipboard history… Oops… edge has helpfully selected all of the text, and now blown it away as you paste…

Try the same thing in Chrome — it lets you just keep typing where you left off.
