Steps to reproduce

Pressing control-F once sends keyboard focus to refresh button, pressing again opens find box.

Clicking address bar to give it focus, then pressing control-F opens find box immediately

Go to the Microsoft Start Page (about:home) then click any of the links in the Section Header (My Feed, Politics, US, World, Travel, etc.) and then try Ctrl+F. In 15063, focus is usually sent to the address bar.
In 15063 Pro, sometimes the focus goes to the Refresh Button next to the address bar; to see this it is best to open any article from the Start Page and close the first tab and then click on the background of the new tab and try Ctrl+F. Repeat this process of opening new tabs and closing the previous until you see the anomaly.

  • I am most definitely able to reproduce this, consistently. What happens is that the first Ctrl-F often sends the focus to the browser’s Refresh button.

  • CTRL + F doesn’t autofocus the Find on page “Enter text to search” input field.

  • It’s fixed for me on 16.16299. I have tried to reproduce it for a while without success.
