Steps to reproduce

This is an interoperability bug between Edge and all other major browsers.

Edge returns null from the contentDocument.caretRangeFromPoint(x, y) method for any point within an iframe when that iframe is covered by another element. Chrome, Firefox and Safari do not return null in the same scenario.

When the iframe is uncovered, the caretRangeFromPoint method functions correctly.

Demonstration of the issue:
Viewing the demo in Edge and then in any other major browser reveals the discrepancy in Edge’s behaviour.
