Steps to reproduce

we just got this new HP Pavillion desktop computer with Windows 10 and we use Comcast.net for our internet provider. My husband was trying to cut and paste from one email to another and when he went to paste the text into the other email it would not do it - a text box came up and said he needed to hit Cntrl+V for it to paste into the document -he tried that and nothing happened. He used to be able under Windows XP to just cut and paste from one document to another. We contacted Comcast and they said it was an issue with the browser and that we should download another browser to see if that makes a difference.
Can you help us because we would prefer to use Edge since it is faster, however we may have to use Firefox if we can’t figure out how to do it.

    Thank you for providing this information about the issue. The problem likely has nothing to do with the internet provider. Some websites require you to only use Ctrl+C to copy and then Ctrl+V to paste, so you will need to try it that way.

    If you still cannot paste, please update this case with specific details such as: the exact website or application used for email, a video capture of the behavior, run dxdiag (Windows key + r and type dxdiag, enter, then click Save all Information) and attach the txt file.

  • Hi Shirley, we appreciate you taking the time to file this bug! A few of our engineers use Comcast.net for email as well, and were unfortunately not able to reproduce this problem. Pressing Ctrl + V worked fine for pasting. If you’re continuing to see this behavior, please feel free to reactivate this issue and let me know and we’ll do what we can to investigate further.
