Steps to reproduce

Repro Steps:
Open in Edge
Search for “Jetzt bestellen” and click the link
New Tab Opens
In the new tab, click the orange “Jetzt bestellen” button
New page opens
Click the orange “zur Kasse gehen” button
without filling any of the form fields click the orange “Weiter” button

form should be submitted. validation errors because of missing required fields should appear.

In Chrome, FireFox this works as expected.

nothing happens. no form submit.

Additional Information

Make sure to open a new inprivate window for each test run, as the shopping basket is session based and the workflow changes after you added the items once.
The observed problem only occurs when doing the steps as mentioned above. In case you start on the url (which is the one which opens in the new tab after step 2) the problem does not show up.

    • After more investigation, we identified that this is a bug related to the way we handle sandbox inheritance on links. We plan to address this in a future release, but in the meantime, you can work around this issue as follows:

Workaround is to add “allow-forms” to sandbox attribute for below iframe.

      <iframe id="desc_ifr" sandbox="allow-scripts allow-popups allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox allow-same-origin"
      class="" height="10000" width="99%" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" frameborder="0" src="" title="Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers"></iframe>

Please let me know if you run into any issues. Thanks!

    • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. We have published a solution on an upcoming build of Edge, and we are resolving this issue as a duplicate of an existing internal bug report. We look forward to additional feedback you may have on how we can improve Microsoft Edge.

      Best Wishes,
      The MS Edge Team
