Steps to reproduce

Navigate to a https://docs.microsoft.com page e.g. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/wcf/feature-details/using-message-contracts

Select some text on the page and the error occurs. This is an unknown Win32 error as shown in the attached screenshot. Normal behaviour is also shown in another screenshot. The error usually happens several times after the initial page load. Occasionally the pop-up will display successfully first time in which case the error will not occur until the tab is destroyed and recreated.

P.S. you really shouldn’t bother maintaining Edge. It’s a pile of shite and pretty sure no-one will ever use it. Fix the bugs in IE or start again from scratch.

  • Thank you for your feedback on Internet Explorer and about Edge.

We are not presently working on feature bugs in Internet Explorer outside of security-related issues.  If you can reproduce this issue on MS Edge, let us know.

Alternatively, if you have a premier support contract, you can visit https://premier.microsoft.com and open a support incident and work with an engineer to address this issue.

    Best regards,

    The MS Edge Team
