Steps to reproduce

JonHoer Repro Steps:



  1. Open attached file, test2.htm

  2. Click in the input box

  3. Wait three seconds for the textbox to be made readonly (you’ll see the “X” action part disappear, and you’ll see a message added to the page)

  4. Try to type

Repro Steps:



Focus an input by calling its focus() method. Then make it readonly via setAttribute.

Expected Results:


The expected behavior is that the input element stays readonly and the user can’t type in it. This problem seems to exist in all versions of Internet Explorer (6-11).
