Steps to reproduce

URL:

Repro Steps:

http://jsfiddle.net/fj728m7e/6/

This test starts synchronous Xhr for Http, Blob, and Data Urls in separate worker threads. It then waits for the worker to send a message back and prints “PASS” or “FAIL” if it sends no message back (i.e., the thread is blocked).

In IE 11.0.14 (11 Nov 2014), the Http requests will pass but Blob and Data requests will fail.

In Firefox and Chrome, all requests pass.

Expected Results:

Synchronous XMLHttpRequest for Data or Blob Urls should not block the worker thread; they should succeed or throw an error.

Actual Results:

Dev Channel specific:

No
