Steps to reproduce

Web Browser: Unspecified error while scrolling
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Pull the ruler to the extreme top of the window.

  2. Now the page rule hides as shown in attachment.

  3. At this position user unable scroll the ruler down. The ruler works only if user scrolls down the page little by the mouse roller.

  4. Do not use the mouse roller to scroll down and try hitting the hidden ruler by the mouse to bring it down. Note that hitting this hidden ruler pops out save as dialogue box.

  5. Click the ruler 5-10 hits in a burst and wait for 2-3 seconds , the mentioned error pops out.

This popup does not even close even if user click OK. After clicking OK button for multiple times, this popup closed.

    Thank you for providing this information about the issue. It appears this topic is regarding PDF files opened in Edge, so that is how we will proceed.

    You have two separate issues here, so first to address steps 1-4. The user can easily scroll the ruler by clicking in the scrollbar background just below the save button. However, moving that button over so it does not cover the scroll arrows is a good idea, so please feel welcome to submit your request at http://uservoice.microsoftedge.com where other developers can up-vote your suggestion.

    After thorough testing, we are unable to reproduce the problem your report in step 5. Please update this case when you can provide more details, such as how to click the ruler if it’s still hidden behind the Save As button, and a sample PDF.

    I can still find the issue in edge. Attached a sample pdf. You just need to do the following to replicate this issue.

    1. Scroll the ruler at extreme top ( just behind the save button as mentioned earlier)
    2. Now click on the ruler that behind the save button continuously 4-5 times. Or you can also try hitting the save button continuously for 4-5 times.
    3. Now the save dialogue box will appear and just close this dialogue box.
    4. Now, you will see the message popup as “Web Browser - Unspecified error”

    Let me know if you still cannot replicate this issue.

    Thank you for providing this information about the issue. This will no longer be an issue, as we have redesigned the PDF interface in Edge. The new layout is available in Edge 16251 and is available in our latest Insider Preview build in the Fast ring.
