Steps to reproduce

When I click on a content script’s filename, the debugger will fail to open the script and try to load it from the site instead.

repro and screenshot attached.

I am aware of https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/8744722/, but I’m on a newer build than that and I don’t see the mentioned "(no domain)" folder, just nothing except the site’s scripts (tested on wikipedia).

  • Hi,

I wanted to check if you have already read through the “Debugging extensions” Edge documentation?  If you have, please let me know and I will run through the repro.

    Thanks,

  • Yes I have - as mentioned, there is no “MyExtension” node or anything like it in my debugger. See my new screenshot (build 16273 by the way, and the extension description should be different but that’s irrelevant for the functionality). To rule out another reason: I have also reloaded the page already.
