Steps to reproduce

go to reddit.com and notice that the tab favicon in Edge is different from Chrome and Firefox (at least on my machine, which is a Surface Pro 4). Is this only an issue on hidpi machines? I’m not able to check because I only have a Surface Pro 4 available. I reported this because maybe it’s not just reddit.com, surely it’s an issue with many websites (assuming it is an issue at all, of course)

  • Hello,

Thank you for providing this information about the issue. Any website can code multiple fav icons and allow the browser to choose which fits the best. The sample website you provided does provide two choices for the icon:
    http://www.redditstatic.com/icon.png
    http://www.redditstatic.com/favicon.ico

Currently, we do not plan to address this problem. Please update this case if you can provide new information for us to consider.

    Best Wishes,
    The MS Edge Team
