Changed Title from “details element was not supported.” to “details element was supported in preview builds, then was not supported anymore”

Changed Status from “Fixed” to “By design”

    • The implementation of this feature had shipped, but its quality was found lacking, hence this implementation was removed before Edge shipped last release. There currently isn’t plan I am aware of to bring the feature back in the next update, but this issue is not the right place to track this (we do not open bugs for new features, this issue had been long forgotten until it was brought back by someone in a discussion).

I therefore re-resolved this issue as By Design (as in: yes, we removed the feature purposefully). Please track the feature progress on the Microsoft Edge Status page, you will get updated when we ship the feature again. You can also vote for the uservoice if you care about this feature more than some others.

      Thanks for your understanding,

      Francois
