Steps to reproduce

A few days ago a new version of Edge was released where empty attribute selector ([value=""]) no longer work. It has worked in all versions until recently, and also work in all other major browsers.

Here is a simple example showing the problem: https://jsfiddle.net/x8at3mvw/
The middle button should show as red, but in the latest version of Edge the styling is not applied.

    Changed Status to “Not reproducible”

  • Thanks for filing the bug, this has since been fixed. I’m testing on an internal build and this doesn’t repro (see attached, comparing Chrome with Edge). As such, resolving as no repro.

  • This is affecting my website as well.

(specifically, I have an html[dir=""] selector that is not working on Edge)

And the jsfiddle that the OP posted does reproduce the issue for me!
