Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Group Policy Editor. Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager and set the GPO “Do not preserve zone information in file attachments” to be "Enabled".
  2. Use Edge to download any exe file.
  3. Right-click the downloaded file in File Explorer and check the file properties. There is still a warning saying that this file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.

Expected: The warning message should not appear. This is the behavior in Edge browser before creator update and in IE 11.

    • Is there any update on when the fix for this issue will be release? It has now been over 4 months since the status was changed to “Fixed, not yet flighted” and it is still a problem in the Fall Creators Update.
