After updates,no Edge Browser

Steps to reproduce
After a lengthy chat with one, microsoft support team, trying to get the Edge browser back after windows had updated on my commputer, the agent seemed to think I had a corrupted profile. He proceeded to add another profile, and still did not get the browser to work. Then disappeared and did not contact me. One of the updates I had received was associated with adobe flash. When I try to open the Edge browser, it opens for a few seconds, then dissapears
Any suggestions, I’m sure I am not the only one to experience this dilema
