Steps to reproduce

After a lengthy chat with one, microsoft support team, trying to get the Edge browser back after windows had updated on my commputer, the agent seemed to think I had a corrupted profile. He proceeded to add another profile, and still did not get the browser to work. Then disappeared and did not contact me. One of the updates I had received was associated with adobe flash. When I try to open the Edge browser, it opens for a few seconds, then dissapears
Any suggestions, I’m sure I am not the only one to experience this dilema

    • I am having exactly the same issue on my desk top (my Microsoft Surface works fine). Desk top is now running Version 1703 build 15063.54 (the same as my Surface) and was updated on August 18, 2017. Edge no longer works.

    • I am also experiencing the problem, post recent updates, that when I try to open the Edge browser it opens for a few second then disappears.

    • My system updated earlier today and I am now experiencing the same problem of trying to open Edge browser only for it to disappear after a few seconds

    • I have the same issue and no one at MS seems to think that they need to fix this!!!

    • Well! I have today eventually corrected my edge browser, with one of the microsoft support agents. Why o why they could not have tried this the first time. Anyone have Trusteer Endpoint protection, protecting certain sites. Check your apps, installations and uninstall it. Once installed, trusteer will come up in your Edge browser, and bingo, you have it back. hope for everyones sake this is the cause, unless there are other little gremlins at play

    • I too have uninstalled Trusteer Endpoint Protection today. Edge is now working!!

    • Thank you I stopped Trusteer Endpoint protection and I now have my Edge back, had to use an old internet explorer to find your info. Many thanks again

    • I’m glad my comments have been of help to some. Just wish to correct my comment above. I mean un- install Trusteer endpoint from your apps. Only just noticed that error.

    • Same issue for me, but I only started and stopped Trusteer manually, then opened Edge fine. Did not need to uninstall. Do try this first.
