Steps to reproduce

We have developed a browser extension which will retrieve cookie details from all the websites browsed in Edge. However, we noticed that for an internal(Local intranet) website it doesn’t work as expected.

We are able to render the secure cookies from Local Intranet website in Edge under below scenarios:
• When Intranet website is browsed in Edge along with any other tabs
• When URL is specified in browser.cookies.getAll({URL: "https:\xxxx.com"},function(cookies)).

When the website is moved to Internet zone all the cookies (including secure cookies) are rendered with the help of browser.cookies.getAll({},function(cookies)) without any URL being specified or tabs being opened.

Since, we want to use the Browser extension for internet as well as intranet websites and hence do not want to specify the URL explicitly in browser.cookies.getAll(). We can’t go ahead with the workaround of Internet sites alone as we need to have our extension working for all the different zones.

    • Many of the limitations around cookie sharing across internet zones were addressed in the Fall Creators update. Have you tested the extension in the latest released build of Windows 10? This sounds like a scenario that should now be enabled.

If you are willing to share a simple repro or the extension itself I’m happy to try it out as well.
