Steps to reproduce

If you enter text into the input that you’ve never entered before, a single Enter key press submits the form. If you return to the search page, and enter the same search term, the input displays your previous search. You must press Enter twice to submit the form.

    • Hi Pete,

This is by design when “save form entries” is enabled.

If you type something that you have not searched for previously, then a single enter does submit the form.

If you type something that has been searched for previously, the first enter selects from the possible options, and the second enter will submit the form.  Are you not seeing the form submit after two enter keys are pressed?

    • The form does indeed submit on two enter keys pressed. However, this behavior is different from Chrome, Firefox, and even IE 11 - all of which simply submit the form on the first enter key press. Personally, I feel this is the expected behavior. Thanks for the reply!

    • That is useful.  I will test and compare how the auto form fill works on the other browsers and investigate this more.

      Appreciate the submission and follow-up,

    • Here is what I found.  Edge auto-selects a previously searched entry and hitting enters selects it.

In Chrome, you need to use the mouse or arrow keys to select the previous entry and by default selects nothing as you type.

      Thanks again
