Steps to reproduce

We are using position fixed to emulate something like Excel frozen heading with frozen left column too.

This works great in Chrome stable, Firefox release, and iOS 10 Safari (although with a little jitter on iOS).

This fails to render with multiple different odd problems on latest Edge 16.

    • Scroll down, and the “Employee Name Grade” block in the header and “Bourke Street” scroll in retrograde direction.

“Cairns h” and “Freemantle” group headers are missing completely.

Names after “Price, Kathleen” are missing for many seconds - just blank (e.g. no “Schleiss, Jessica”). They do eventually show.

Changed Assigned To to “Steven K.”

      Changed Assigned To to “bbrinza”

    • Problems the same in build 16281.

      Changed Assigned To to “”

    • Retested on Microsoft Edge 41.17017.1000.0/Microsoft EdgeHTML 16.17017.

If the horizontal scroll is left at extreme left, the "Cairns h” and “Freemantle” group headers are still missing completely and names after “Price, Kathleen” are blank (or if F5 refresh when vertical scroll is to bottom then names at top are missing). Alternatively if you horizontal scroll a bit, then the missing entries show up again.

Separate issue: if you horizontal scroll a bit, then vertical scroll up and down, the header changes its subpixel top (causing strange blurring/movement of text) and also the header sometimes just dissappears for short periods. Probably need a low res screen and possibly slow 2D video card to reproduce.

The retrograde scrolling looks to be fixed.

    • Here you can clearly see the problems happening. I don’t know how a site can be so smooth in chrome and terrible in edge. We don’t know what to do.

    • You could mark this issue as fixed.

I opened a new issue for the other bugs. Also FYI Ignatio’s issue has absolutely nothing to do with this issue (as far as I can tell!).
