  • Same issue… very annoying as it blocks the top sites. Furthermore, only allows Bing as search engine. Thinking of switching to another browser as default

  • Same issue

  • Same issue here. Needs immediate action or it will annoy/scare a lot of people.

  • Yes, same intensely annoying issue here. Apparently it doesn’t show if your default search engine is Bing - mine is Google.

  • Same issue here after last update. MS, do you guys test your updates? Issue like this one is visible even from the space :-D

  • Same issue here as well since this morning when default search engine is google. Even if I change it to Bing, then the search bar becomes comparatively small and instead of the regular blue arrow, it says web search, the search box and all the contents of the page have been moved upwards.

  • Same here, please remove it. it is annoying!! else I may have to move back to Chrome

  • here too >:(

  • Same issue here. Clearing cache, cookies etc. makes no difference.

  • When will MS repair this glitch, do we think?

  • Same issue happening to me. I have reported this bug to Microsoft Techincal support. They have tried to reslove issue by taking remote session, techies couldn’t able to find solution. Finally they mentioned that I have installed third party apps "SO SICK". They asked me to pay AU$120 to fix this one. Am I looking like a fool ?? Almost 4 hours gone. Waste of time.

  • It can be resolved using developer options by editing “manifest” file, unless microsoft allows us to edit and save.

  • Strangely the issue just resolved itself for me. Checked Windows update history and no new updates have been applied. The only thing I’ve done different this time is to shut down my Surface Pro 3 completely. I had previously cleared cache, cookies etc. several times to no avail. Will see if this occurs again.

  • Shutdown & restarted my laptop, problem has gone away. My desktop had restarted itself & doesn’t show the problem. The Update history shows it’s running the 2017-09 Cumulative Update v1703.
