Steps to reproduce

If you have a dropdown (select) element with a size greater than 'one’, and the selected item is greater then the size, the dropdown does not automatically position the elements so that the selected item is visibly selected when the page initially loads. Instead, you see the dropdown scrolled to the top, and it appears as though NOTHING is selected.

Look at the attachment. When the page loads, you can see items one through ten, but the 14th item is selected. This works fine, as expected, in IE11, Firefox, and Chrome.

  • Can you at least confirm that this is a problem?

  • Is anyone going to address this bug?

  • This is a huge problem people! When are you going to address this bug? This is disgraceful. It’s been over three months since I first posted about this.

  • Help. Please help.

  • Nine months later, and no fix in sight.

  • Over 12 months and no fix in sight. Nice work Microsoft. I guess you guys only care about Azure seeing as the world has pretty much abandoned Internet Explorer or Edge.
