I was able to repro this in 15063.608 by opening two tabs with youtube videos playing. On the second tab. I could either use Ctrl+C or right click and copy to cause the page to slow down and many times crash.
However, I testing this in the current insider skip ahead release and a recent developers build and the issue is not reproducible. The difference is noticeable. In the newer releases you do not see any lag or slow down at all.
Can you tell me the version of Windows you are running? Win key and type ‘winver’ and press enter.
I will be closing this as ‘fixed’ unless you have questions.

i have same problem might use another web browser Wexplorer instead microsoft edge
I have the same problem, whenever I see an interesting female specimen on youtube, and I want find her on pornhub for research purposes, my browser crashes after highlighting the name and hitting ctrl+c. This greatly reduces my producitivty index. Can’t do research like this!
This is also applicable for build 15063.632 and it’s extremly annoying, well not at the same level as Lorenzo describes, which I can only imagine must be very frustrating.
I have also tried to reinstall Edge from PowerShell, but the problem persist regardless. Furthermore, I have tested the scenario, with and without extensions for Edge, same result.
same problem here, Windows version 1703 (OS build 15063.674) Enterprise i’m from BRAZIL!
come on billGates, are you usin chrome ?
Same problem here.
Using the dutch version of windows 10 Version 10.0.15063< Microsoft Edge 40.15063.674.0 and HTML 15.15063
I was able to copy the text by opening the code and copy it for there but that work around is… well just google chrome for now I guess
i have solved the issue
somehow my web browser is fixed must be the end of YouTube itself
im also using dutch version now i can copy and paste again
well in short i installed my windows 10 again solved my problem…
will have a clean install again if the problem comes back other files are on the external hard drive always save your work on a usb or external HD or SSD
The issue is resolved by not using Microsoft edge.
After 2 days of research, i solved this problem by simply disabling the flash player in the advanced options of the edge. If this doesn’t work, try to uninstall the adobe flash player, or disable in the services.msc.
And try to clear all the data from the browser (click in options on the m.edge and then "choose what to clear", and select all the options)
This problem really could be solved by the developers, but i think they are really useless at all.
